Rockville City Hall to Close on Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day Holiday
RedGate Golf Course, Swim Center Will Open; Refuse and Recycling Will Not Be Collected
 
Rockville, Md., August 24, 2010 - Rockville City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, as the City recognizes Labor Day. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center and RedGate Municipal Golf Course will be open.
 
The City will not collect recycling or refuse. Residents should put their recycling and refuse out the day after their scheduled collection day that week. Friday collections will take place Saturday. Call 240-314-8568 for questions about recycling and refuse.
 
Below is the status of Rockville facilities and programs for Labor Day:

• City Hall: closed
• No money required for parking meters or at City-owned parking garages
• Refuse and recycling will not be collected
• Twinbrook Community Recreation Center: closed
• Lincoln Park Community Center: closed
• Rockville Senior Center: closed
• Rockville Municipal Swim Center: open from noon to 9 p.m.
• RedGate Municipal Golf Course: open with the first tee time at 7 a.m.
• Croydon Creek Nature Center: closed
• Rockville Civic Center Park offices: closed
• There will be no performances at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre
• F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre Box Office: closed
• Glenview Mansion: closed
• Glenview Mansion Art Gallery: closed
