F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre Hosts Rockville Civic Ballet Spring Performance
ROCKVILLE, Md., March 7, 2011 - The Rockville Civic Ballet will perform "Firebird" and "Piano Barre" at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive. The annual spring performance will be staged Saturday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 13, at 2 p.m.
Featuring magical creatures, a humorous original work and dancers of all ages, the performance will delight families and children.
"Firebird," set to the music of Igor Stravinsky, tells the story of Prince Ivan's rescue of Princess Vasilisa from Kastchei, the guardian of the forest. "Piano Barre" is an original work, set to the music of Joplin and accompanied by pianist Edmund Morris.

The Rockville Civic Ballet is directed by Claudia Mangan and features approximately 75 local dancers.
