Rockville Police Release Photos of Suspects in Stun Gun Robbery

ROCKVILLE, Md., June 3, 2011 - The Rockville City Police Department is seeking help in identifying two suspects who they believe are responsible for using  stun guns to steal a 28-year-old woman's purse as she tried to unlock the door to her home on May 25.

Rockville City Police were called just before 12:30 a.m. May 25 for a report that a woman had been assaulted by two men and had her purse stolen as she was attempting to unlock the front door to the building where she lives in the unit block of Monroe Street. Her purse was taken and she received minor burns to her neck, chest and arm from stun guns used by the suspect. She was treated at the scene by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.

Following the May 25 incident, the suspects used the victim's credit cards at stores in Clinton and Capitol Heights in Prince George's County. Surveillance cameras at the stores captured photos of the men.

The vehicle they were driving is described as a light blue four-door Chevrolet sedan that is dark blue or gray.

Anyone who may have information about the incident and/or suspects is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit at 240-314-8938.
