Rockville Hosts Let's Move Celebration of Health
Rockville, MD, July 27, 2011- The City of Rockville will host more than 500 children at the Let's Move Celebration of Health Thursday, July 28, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will take place at Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, and will feature a series of stations for games, races, healthy snacks and a flash mob style choreographed dance at 1:30 p.m.
Children from all of Rockville's summer camps will participate in the celebration and the community is invited to join.
Participants in the celebration of health and the City's other fitness programs for youth will also be encouraged to participate in the President's Challenge: Presidential Active Lifestyle Award program.
The City of Rockville is designated as an official Let's Move City as part of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign to reduce childhood obesity.
