Rockville Channel 11 Debuts New Documentary
'Profiles in Leadership' Features Former Mayors
Rockville, Md., Aug. 4, 2011: The City of Rockville's cable channel, Rockville 11, presents an in-depth look at the terms of the City's seven previous mayors in "Profiles in Leadership: Rockville's Mayors 1982-2009." The new documentary airs daily on Rockville 11 and is available on demand on the City's website and YouTube channel.
"The common quality I heard each of the former mayors express is their love of the city and the quality of life here in Rockville as well as the rich history here," said Mayor Phyllis Marcuccio. "What came across was their commitment to the future to a real city we can be proud of."
The program airs in two parts. Part one is 45 minutes long and features John Freeland (1982-1985), Steve Van Grack (1985-1987) and Doug Duncan (1987-1993). Part two is 58 minutes long and features Jim Coyle (1993-1995), Rose Krasnow (1995-2001), Larry Giammo ((2001-2007) and Susan Hoffman (2007-2009).
"This program presents a unique perspective through the eyes of the former mayors on the big changes the City has undergone during the past thirty years," said Bridget Broullire, Rockville 11 station manager. "It's an informative and entertaining walk through history."
Rockville Channel 11 is the City's award-winning cable channel and is broadcast throughout Montgomery County.
