Rockville Wine and Music Festival Features End of Summer Fun

ROCKVILLE, Md., August 9, 2011— The City of Rockville will host "Uncorked" - the annual wine and music festival in Rockville Town Square from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.
 
The festival gives residents a chance to sample some of the best wines from across Maryland, participate in a cooking demonstration and wine seminars, and enjoy live musical entertainment.
 
Fifteen wineries will participate in the festival. They are:

Gilly’s Craft Beer and Fine Wine, and The Bottle Shop, both located in Rockville will also be in attendance.
The event will feature performances by The Nighthawks (blues, rock, rockabilly), Red Wanting Blue (rock), American Aquarium (roots rock), Sons of Pirates (Jimmy Buffet sound), The West End (Americana rock) and Bruce Swaim Quartet (jazz).

Patrice Olivon of L’Academie de Cuisine will give cooking demonstrations. 

Cost to participate in the wine tasting is $15 and includes a commemorative wine glass for the first 2,000 paid attendees (must be 21 years or older to consume alcohol). 

Admission is free for concerts and cooking demonstrations.
