Rockville City Hall to Close for Labor Day Holiday
RedGate, Swim Center Will Open; Recycling, Refuse Collection Will Shift Forward One Day

ROCKVILLE, Md., August 24, 2011- Rockville City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, as the City celebrates Labor Day. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center and RedGate Municipal Golf Course will be open.

There will be no recycling and refuse collection on Monday. All residential collection will shift forward one day. Friday customers will put their items out on Saturday. Residents may call 240-314-8568 for more information. 

Parking fees at meters in the City will be suspended.

Below is the status of Rockville facilities and programs for Labor Day:

• City Hall: closed 
• No money required for parking meters 
• Recycling and refuse will not be collected
• Croydon Creek Nature Center: closed 
• Twinbrook Community Recreation Center: closed 
• Lincoln Park Community Center: closed 
• Thomas Farm Community Center: closed
• Rockville Senior Center: closed 
• Rockville Swim and Fitness Center: open from noon to 9 p.m. 
• RedGate Municipal Golf Course will offer its first tee time at 6:45 a.m. 
• Rockville Civic Center Park offices: closed 
• There will be no performances at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre  
• F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre Box Office: closed 
• Glenview Mansion: closed  
• Glenview Mansion Art Gallery: closed
