Rockville Mayor and Council to Return from Summer Recess Sept. 12
Rockville, Md., Sept. 8, 2011 - The Rockville Mayor and Council will return to a regular meeting schedule following their summer recess on Monday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m. at Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave.
The meeting agenda is available on the Rockville website at www.rockvillemd.gov/government/mc. All meetings include a Citizens Forum, which is a time set aside so that residents can speak to the Mayor and Council on any topic they choose.
In addition to Citizens Forum, an hour is set aside one Monday each month for residents to speak with the mayor and one councilmember. The time is referred to as drop-in.
Rockville Mayor and Council meetings are aired live on Rockville 11 (cable channel 11), the City’s cable television station, and stream live on the web. The meetings are also available online, following the meeting.
The schedule of meetings taking place up to Rockville’s Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 8, are as follows: Sept. 19 and 26, and Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24. The drop-in schedule with the mayor and one council member is as follows: Sept. 19, John Britton; Oct. 10, Piotr Gajewski.
