Public Record Period for Draft Rockville Pike Plan to Close
Written Comments Accepted Until September 30
Rockville, Md., September 19, 2011 – Rockville's Planning Commission will close the public comment period for the draft Rockville's Pike: Envision a Great Place plan Friday, Sept. 30.
Written testimony on the draft plan can be provided to the Planning Commission, c/o Long Range Planning, CPDS, 111 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850 or rockvillepikeplan@rockvillemd.gov. When providing written comments, include name, address and, if applicable, affiliation.
To review the draft plan:
The Planning Commission will continue to hold work sessions and discuss testimony on the draft this fall and into the winter. Following the work sessions, the commission will produce its recommended changes to the draft plan and re-open the public record for testimony on those recommended changes.
The Planning Commission will then forward its recommended draft plan to the Mayor and Council for review, revisions and adoption. The Mayor and Council will also invite public testimony and hold work sessions during its review process prior to adoption of the plan.
City staff remains available to attend community meetings to present and discuss the draft plan.
