The Rockville Summit: Road Map for the Future Set to Take Place Tuesday, Oct. 18
Panelists Representing Community Facilitate Discussion with Renowned Economist

ROCKVILLE, Md., October 17, 2011— The City of Rockville will host "The Rockville Summit: Road Map for the Future" taking place at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at VisArts in Town Square.

Washington Post columnist Robert McCartney, whose column appears every Thursday and Sunday in the Metro section, will moderate a panel of representatives from various segments of the community, including residents, businesses, public and education entities and nonprofits, to discuss the City's economic future.

The panel will respond and participate in a question and answer segment, following discussion of an economic report from Stephen Fuller, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University.

Dr. Fuller, an expert on the metropolitan Washington economy, will discuss his report that assesses Rockville's current economic conditions and outlook. The report also outlines future economic growth opportunities and directions for Rockville. The report is available online at www.rockvillemd.gov/events/summit.html.
