Camps, Events Provide Supervision and Entertainment
Rockville, Md., Nov. 21, 2011 – The City of Rockville will host fun-filled supervised activities and camps during the Montgomery County Public Schools winter break. Children can be active and entertained while parents work or recover from the holidays.
The following programs are still accepting registrations.
- Winter Break Fun Days at Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Drive: Tuesday, Dec. 27, to Friday, Dec. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Children in grades 1-5 will enjoy four days of supervised fun with their friends. - Winter Wonderland Camp at Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway: Tuesday, Dec 27, to Friday, Dec 30, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Children in grades K-5 will have an opportunity to participate in crafts, organized games, sports and other fun activities. - Wizards and Mystics Holiday Hoops Camp at Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway: Tuesday, Dec. 27, to Thursday, Dec. 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The only authentic NBA and WNBA basketball camp in the DC Metropolitan area for boys and girls, ages 8-17. - Snow Days Clubhouse at Lincoln Park Community Center, 357 Frederick Avenue: Tuesday Dec. 27, to Friday, Dec. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Winter fun for ages 7-12, including sports, crafts, games, a field trip and much more. - Winter Break Trips for Teens: No school doesn’t mean there is nothing to do for kids in grades 6-10. Trips depart from and return to Julius West M.S. - Winter Nature Fun at Croydon Creek Nature Center, 852 Avery Road: Friday, Dec. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Youth ages 7-12 can have fun learning about animal tracks, hiking in the forest preserve and enjoying a campfire.
