Rockville Police Charge Two in Robbery, Assault
ROCKVILLE, Md., January 6, 2012— The Rockville City Police Department arrested two teens in connection with an assault and robbery that occurred Dec. 26 near the Rockville Skate Park at 355 Martins Lane.
Rosa Randall, 19 (4/15/92), 500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard, and a 16-year-old were charged with one count each of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, theft and second-degree assault. Rockville City Police made the arrests Jan. 5.
Rockville City Police were called at approximately 6 p.m. Dec. 26, after it was reported that a juvenile had been robbed while visiting with friends at the Rockville Skate Park. When police arrived, the victim reported that two suspects assaulted her then took her cash and phone, and fled on foot.
A police investigation in which the victim was able to help police identify the suspects led to an arrest warrant being issued for Randall. Police arrested Randall and the juvenile without incident.
Randall was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Bond information is not currently available. The 16-year-old was released to a parent.
