Chief of Police T.N. Treschuk

This division consists of the Chief of Police T.N. Treschuk, Community Services, Victim Assistance and the Chief's Secretary.

The Chief is responsible for:

  • Overall Operations and Mission of the Police Department
  • Maintaining appropriate relations with the public and media.
  • Carrying out the inspectional services function of the Department.

Community Services Officer
The primary responsibility of the Community Services Officer is to effectively implement the Department's Crime Prevention Programs.

Neighborhood Services Division
The primary function is animal control, including the licensing of dogs, picking up deceased animals, handling complaints involving animals, handling animal bite complaints and enforcement of animal control laws. The division also assists with the enforcement of parking violations and abandoned automobiles.

The aim is to create in the minds of the Rockville residents and businesspersons an awareness of the roles they can individually and collectively play in the reduction and/or prevention of crime. Also to encourage individual, group, school, neighborhood, and community follow up and activities to reduce/prevent crime.
