What is the PROS Plan? The City of Rockville’s Department of Recreation and Parks is updating the City’s Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) plan. The PROS plan is a long-range policy document that sets overall goals and objectives for the Department of Recreation and Parks for the next 5 to 20 years. The PROS plan guides: What demographic groups, communities or geographic areas in Rockville need better service. What types of parks, recreation and open space facilities are developed. What recreation programs are offered. What parks, recreation and open space initiatives the City pursues.
Your Input is Needed! What’s working, what’s not? Are your, and your family’s, recreation needs being met? What areas of the City need additional parkland or open space? What new facilities are needed? Which need to be redeveloped? What new recreation programs, activities or events are desired? What programs are not? How should the Department of Recreation and Parks be preparing for changing demographic conditions? What new initiatives should the City consider?
