Badminton has moved from the back yard! Learn the basic strokes and techniques as well as the history, rules, and scoring of this Olympic sport. Participants are asked to bring a racquet, (instructor may have a some on hand.) Note: $6 supply fee payable to instructor on first day of class.

Cheerleading Step up to Health

Try this awesome program! Learn cheers, jumps, chants and moves. Get in the spirit with crafts and games. A presentation will be held on the last day of each session for family and friends. Hope to see you there!

Dance Combo Step up to Health

A combination of jazz, creative movement and hip hop. Session is broken down into three different dance types. Jazz dance uses Broadway moves, which are flavored with a classical touch. Jazz focuses on carisma, self-confidence, and posture. Creative movement uses dance steps and blends them with movements ranging from animal actions, to object shapes, lines, and colors. It emphasizes balance, control, and creativity. Hip Hop uses moves from street dances. It’s a funky style of dance, using up-to-date music and moves. Dance attire is encouraged as well as loose-fitting clothing.

Golf ClinicStep up to Health

Get into the swing with this exciting camp. Professional golf instruction is provided with emphasis on stance, grip and swing. To promote enjoyment of the game and proper etiquette on the course, the program includes on-course play for several holes. Tournament is held on last day. Note: Participants must bring golf clubs and glove. Camp meets Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.- noon and Friday, 7:30-11 a.m. Rain date: June 30.

Mid-Atlantic VolleyballStep up to Health

Geared to all ability levels, this is a fun and competitive program for middle school students to learn the skills and strategies of the game from experienced coaches. This clinic develops individual skills, prepares players for high school and develops a greater enjoyment of this lifetime sport.

Tennis & SwimStep up to Health

Enjoy an active morning, filled with tennis, swimming and fun! Campers will have tennis lessons and practice. Then head over to the Rockville Municipal Swim Center to cool off in the pool, with a water slide, splash playground and more! Participants must bring a tennis racket. A hat/visor and water bottle is also recommended.

TumbleweedsStep up to Health

Tumble! Jump! Laugh! Our youngest campers will learn basic gymnastics, jumping on the trampoline, and interacting with other preschoolers during group games and crafts. Bring a healthy snack/drink and enjoy a week of fun and exercise. Note: Participants must be toilet trained.

U.K. Elite Soccer

U.K. Elite Soccer returns for its 6th year to offer a unique and exciting Soccer Camp for children ages 3-14 years. Players will be taught within the framework of U.K. Elite Soccer’s Age and Ability Specific International Curriculum. Each day their professional British Coaches and Teachers will teach a different move and skill set, as well as highlighting the country (and professional players) that made them famous. All players receive a new Reebok Soccer Ball, U.K. Elite T-shirt and written Player Evaluation. (U.K. Petite players receive a Certificate of Attendance.) Participants 5 years and older must wear shin-guards. Outdoor location.

Monday:  Brazil Day: 1vs1 Attacking Skills & Dribbling.
Tuesday:  Holland Day: Passing and Possession.
Wednesday:  England Day: Control and First Touch.
Thursday:  Italy Day: Defending.
Friday:  USA Day: Shooting and Goal Scoring.

U.K. Elite Soccer: PetiteStep up to Health

A fun introduction to the world of soccer is experienced through exposure to exciting and stimulating physical
activities. Develop motor skills and better coordination as well as social skills. Note: Campers must be three years old at start of camp.

NewU.K. Elite: Sports WeekStep up to Health

This camp introduces your child to 15 new active and enjoyable sports in one week! A number of British and Irish favorites, including Kwik-Cricket, Flag-Rugby, Gaelic Soccer and Netball, provide a truly unique week of sports and games. Every camper receives a new sports ball, a U.K. Sports Weeks T-shirt and certificate from their professional coach. All participants MUST bring water, a small snack and sneakers or cleats.

Camp Challenger

Brought to you by Coach Doug. This camp combines space science, rocketry, computers and sports fun all in one. Activities include building and launching a model rocket! Team  building and cooperative efforts, both on the field and during projects, teach campers the importance of getting along and working together. Each week introduces a new space science activity. Great Writers and Players!

Exercise your mind and body! This camp incorporates both computer keyboarding skills with a sports/fitness component. Practice or improve your keyboarding with fun, entertaining, self-paced activities. Take a break playing a variety of sports and games. No previous experience required in this noncompetitive camp.
