Rockville wants your child to be a healthy kid and we have fun, affordable and free activities and programs to help.

Upcoming Events

President’s Challenge: Presidential Active Lifestyle Award
Sign up for the challenge today and in six short weeks you can be a healthier you. It's easy for kids and teens; just meet your daily activity goal of 60 minutes of physical activity a day, at least five days a week, for six out of eight weeks and keep a record of your progress. Certificates and patches will be awarded to all those from Rockville who complete the challenge.

Stay Healthy All Year

Play at the Park
Rockville is home to more than 65 parks and each home in the city is within a 10-minute walk of a park just waiting to be explored. Check out a new one or visit your favorite today.

Teen Step ClassVisit a Community Center
Neighborhood centers have gyms, playgrounds and other great kids to hang out with. Find one close to your house and drop in.

Take a Class 
Learn how to do something new while focusing on movement and skill development.
 
Play a Sport
Basketball, soccer, track and all kinds of sports are so much fun that you won’t even notice you're getting fit.

Sign up for a Teen Program
Youth ages 11-17 should check out one of our great programs for teens. Enroll in a teens afterschool club, join us on an adventure trip or participate in Rockville's Best Dance Crew.

Go for a Swim
Take a lesson or drop in for some lap or recreational swimming at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center.

Play a Round
Hit the greens at the RedGate Municipal Golf Course.

Try Nutritious Snacks and Meals
Visit one of Rockville's two Farmers Markets each week to select fresh produce and try a new recipe today. Watch a video about the Farmers Markets for more info.
