College Gardens Public Meeting on Low Impact Stormwater Measures
Tuesday, January 18 (snow date January 25) Rockville Senior Center 1150 Carnation Drive 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.
The Department of Public Works will host a meeting for College Gardens residents to review opportunities for Low Impact Stormwater Management (LISWM) measures in your neighborhood. LISWM uses low-tech measures such as directing downspouts to grassed areas and rain gardens to reduce storm runoff to streams and trap pollutants. We will present results from the resident watershed behavior survey taken this past fall, and suggest ways residents can improve their own properties to reduce runoff and pollution.
