| City of Rockville Public Works Maintenance Crews will be working at the dead-end of Wall Street during the week of April 17 to implement drainage improvements. Stormwater runoff currently drains to the end of Wall Street and flows across a grassy area into an existing storm drain structure causing erosion of the ground/soil between the street and storm drain. Also, the storm drain grate is frequently clogged with debris (grass, leaves, sticks, etc.), which reduces the drain’s efficiency. Crews will construct an asphalt swale/path to the storm drain inlet which will eliminate the erosion problem. Also, the existing storm drain grate will be replaced with an inlet that is more efficient for collecting storm water runoff. After the work is completed, City crews will seed and mulch the disturbed areas. Work is scheduled to begin during the week of April 17 (weather permitting) and will continue for approximately two (2) days. The excavation and stabilization will take place within the City’s storm drain easement. The construction will not impact the asphalt bike path. See map on reverse side for the project location. If you have questions about the drainage improvements, please contact: March 21, 2006
