CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON OR ABOUT THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2006WATER MAIN CONSTRUCTION:
As part of Rockville’s ongoing maintenance program, we must periodically replace sections of our water system, which assures you – our customer – continued dependable water service. The Department of Public Works (DPW) will utilize a City contractor, Callahan Pipeline, Inc., to upgrade the water mains in your community. Water main construction should begin during the week of September 11, 2006 and will continue for approximately three (3) months, weather permitting. The water main construction will be affected by weather and is subject to change without notice. The roads will remain open; however, you may experience some delays. Impacts during construction will be: temporary lane closures, on-street parking restrictions, and limited access to Bullards Park. We will be overlaying asphalt paths and constructing a new asphalt path to the playground equipment in the park.
WATER METER AND LINE UPGRADES:
In conjunction with the water main upgrades, Callahan Pipeline Inc. will be replacing six (6) water house connections and 39 meters within the project limits (see map on reverse side showing project limits). The water connections (from the street to the meter), water meters, and water meter pits will be dug up and replaced.
The water house connections will be replaced to the water meters due to insufficient water flow through the connections. The addresses for connection replacement are as follows: 206 and 210 Adclare Court; 102, 107, and 209 Adclare Road; and 702 Roxboro Road.
Residential meters will be upgraded to remote read 1-inch meters to meet new City standards. The addresses for meter replacement are as follows: 204, 206, 208, and 210 Adclare Court; 100, 101, 102, 103, 105, 107, 201, 202, 203, 205, 207, 209, 211, 301, and 303 Adclare Road; and 701, 702, 703, 704, 705, 706, 707, 708, 709, 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 717, 718, 802, and 803 Roxboro Road.
