A survey crew hired by the City of Rockville’s Department of Public Works will be performing a field survey of existing features adjacent to Lynch Street. Maddox Surveyors will be gathering field data along the roadway that fronts the properties located at 406 and 500 Beall Avenue, 100 through 106 Lynch Street, and 4 Bouic Circle.
The primary purpose of this survey is for the Department of Public of Works to gather the necessary information needed to design a sidewalk along the west side of Lynch Street. Once adequate data has been compiled and a preliminary design completed, the project will be presented to the residents. The majority of the surveying will be within Rockville’s right-of-way. However, some surveying will be in front yards (west side of Lynch Street) that are approximately 20 feet off of the public right-of-way. This will be to locate fences, trees and landscaping. This is necessary in order to gather enough information to properly design the sidewalk. The eight (8) properties that are involved in this project are 406 and 500 Beall Avenue, 100, 102, 104, 105 and 106 Lynch Street and 4 Bouic Circle.
The survey work will start on or about Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, and will take approximately three (3) days to complete.
