Construction Activity:

The City of Rockville’s contractor, Romano Concrete Construction, Inc., has started the Longwood Drive storm drain upgrades and the Maryvale Park improvements in your community.  Construction fencing and tree protection measures have started to be installed.  Storm drain installation will begin in Maryvale Park at the stream, then move toward the Crabb Avenue park entrance and finish up along Longwood Drive.  Construction duration is six months, weather permitting.  The work in the stream will be completed by March 1, 2008 and the project completion date is May 1, 2008 for both the work along Longwood Drive and within Maryvale Park.  Temporary impacts during construction will consist of road/lane closures, noise, sidewalk/path closures, and limited park access.
