Update To The Proposed Transportation Improvements
To Twinbrook Parkway At Linthicum Street
And Pinneberg Avenue

The City of Rockville hosted a meeting December 10 to discuss the installation of a traffic circle at Twinbrook Parkway and Linthicum Street, and narrowing the street along Twinbrook Parkway at Pinneberg Avenue.  The meeting allowed residents to discuss the placement of those traffic-calming measures in relation to residential properties.  Many residents attended the meeting and those that could not attend, gave feedback through other correspondence.

In response to resident concerns about the proposed transportation improvements, the City will conduct a new study to investigate traffic speed and volume along Twinbrook Parkway, near the Pinneberg Avenue and Linthicum Street, intersections to help determine if the recently-installed edge lines and the mobile speed cameras are reducing the speed of traffic.  This study will be completed in May.  The City also will examine the option of installing one permanent speed camera between the 400 and 700 blocks of Twinbrook Parkway.  Once the study is completed, the City will notify residents of the results.
