Weekly Report - April 7, 2008

ILLEGAL DRUG ARRESTS 

04/03/08-(6:15 p.m.) Andre Rivero McDonald, M, age 36, of Germantown, and Clifford E. Howard, Jr., M, age 42, of Rockville, were arrested: Mr. McDonald for distribution of CDS-cocaine and Mr. Howard for possession of CDS-cocaine following a complaint in the 1200 block of First Street.  Mr. McDonald and Mr. Howard were transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

04/06/08-(1:10 a.m. – 2:00 a.m.) Walter Henry Portillo, M, age 20, of Silver Spring, was arrested for possession of CDS-marijuana, failing to obey a lawful order, and disorderly conduct following a complaint in the 1000 block of Crawford Drive.  Mr. Portillo was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

ROBBERY ARRESTS

03/27/08-03/28/08 Jaron Tyrone Thomas, M, age 20, and Derrick Ojong, M, age 22, both of Montgomery Village were arrested for robbery and theft; in addition Mr. Thomas was also charged with possession of a concealed dangerous weapon (brass knuckles) following a earlier incident in the Unit block of Mannakee Street.  Both Mr. Thomas and Mr. Ojong were transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

ASSAULT ARRESTS

04/02/08-(11:56 a.m.) Male juvenile, age 16, of Rockville, was arrested for 1st degree assault following an earlier incident that took place on 03/26/06 in the Unit block of Maryland Avenue.  The male juvenile was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released into the custody of his mother.

04/03/08-(3:30 a.m.) Louis Craig Castagnola, M, age 46, of Rockville was arrested for 2nd degree domestic assault following a complaint in the 1800 block of Greenplace Terrace.  Mr. Castagnola was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

04/04/08-(12:15 a.m. – 1:30 a.m.) Juan Antonio Martinez, M, age 23, of no fixed address was arrested for 2nd degree assault following a complaint in the 2000 block of Baltimore Road.  During the course of the investigation it was also discovered that Mr. Martinez had 3 outstanding fail to appear warrants through Rockville City Police Department.  Mr. Martinez was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

OTHER ARRESTS

03/30/08-(4:04 p.m.) Keith Augustine, M, age 20, of Poolesville, and James Edward Demar, Jr., M, age 20, of Germantown, were arrested: Mr. Augustine for failure to obey a lawful order and disorderly conduct, and Mr. Demar for failing to obey a lawful order following a complaint in the1200 block of First Street.  Mr. Augustine and Mr. Demar were transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

04/06/08-(12:55 a.m.) Ronald Lamont Greene, M, 47, of no fixed address, was arrested for failing to obey a lawful order following a disorderly conduct complaint in the 700 block of Hungerford Drive.  Mr. Greene was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

04/06/08-(9:40 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) Juan Francisco Rivera Serrano, M, age 40, of Manassas Park, Virginia, was arrested for disorderly conduct, failing to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Gilbert Road.  Mr. Serrano was transported to the Central Processing Unit for processing.

DUI ARRESTS

04/04/08-(12:07 a.m.) Ralph Stone McCrea, III, of Gaithersburg was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Frederick Road and Shady Grove Road.  Mr. McCrea was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released.

04/04/08-(8:45 p.m.) Adam Lee Bentley, M, age 29, of Germantown, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic accident in the 500 block of Meadow Hall Drive.  Mr. Adam was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released.

04/04/08-(10:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) Eric Ryan Gins, M, age 32, of Silver Spring, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Gibbs Street and East Middle Lane.  Mr. Gins was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released.

04/05/08-(1:45 a.m. – 2:30 a.m.) Orlando Granados Quintanilla, M, age 34, of Rockville, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Veirs Mill Road.  Mr. Quintanilla was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released.

04/05/08-(3:00 a.m. – 3:06 a.m.) Aymon Patrick Fournier, M, age 19, of Bethesda, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic accident at the intersection of Rockville Pike and First Street.  Mr. Fournier was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released.

04/06/08-(2:40 a.m. – 2:42 a.m.) Monica Lee Stephens, F, age 30, of Rockville, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and First Street.  Ms. Stephens was transported to the Montgomery County Police Department’s 6th District Station for processing and released.

04/07/08-(12:54 a.m. – 1:45 a.m.) Ashley Jean Sheflett, F, age 22, of Walkersville, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at the intersection of East Jefferson Street and South Washington Street.  Ms. Sheflett was transported to the Rockville City Police Department for processing and released. 

THEFTS

04/01/08-(7:54 p.m.) 100 block of Gibbs Street, unknown suspect(s) removed clothing from a retail store.

04/02/08-04/03/08-(9:00 p.m. – 12:01 a.m.) 1600 block of East Gude Drive, unknown suspect(s) removed a wallet containing U.S. currency and a driver’s license from an unlocked unattended vehicle.

04/02/08-04/03/08-(6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.) 300 block of Carl Street, unknown suspect(s) removed a briefcase, U.S. currency and a DVD player from an unlocked unattended vehicle.

04/03/08-(10:18 a.m.) 700 block of Rockville Pike, unknown suspect(s) removed a set of keys from a vehicle in parking lot.

04/05/08-(4:50 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) 800 block of Hungerford Drive, unknown suspect(s) removed a cell phone and a credit card from an unlocked unattended vehicle.

BURGLARIES

03/28/08-04/01/08-(6:45 a.m. – 6:50 a.m.) 500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard, Residential, unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain access by prying a front door of an apartment.  No entry was made.

03/29/08-03/30/08-(10:30 p.m. – 10:00 a.m.) 1000 block of Brice Road, Residential, unknown suspect(s) gained access by unknown means through a front door of a residence.  Once inside the unknown suspect(s) removed U.S. currency.

04/01/08-(8:30 a.m. – 6:20 p.m.) 500 block of West Montgomery Avenue, Residential, unknown suspect(s) gained access by breaking through a rear garage door and a door leading from the garage to a residence.  Once inside the unknown suspect(s) removed several items of jewelry, a bottle of perfume and a violin.
