Dog and Cat Rabies Vaccinations and Licenses

The City of Rockville requires all dogs and cats older than four months to be vaccinated for rabies. All dogs older than four months are also required to be licensed.

Rabies Clinic for Dogs, Cats, and Ferrets

The Montgomery County Humane Society is vaccinating pets for free or at a reduced cost.

Rabies clinics will be held on are scheduled for May 18th, June 22nd, July 27th, August 24th and Sept. 21st, 2008 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Rockville at 14645 Rothgeb Drive.

The clinics offer free or discounted rabies vaccinations after pet licenses are purchased at the clinic for City of Rockville, City of Gaithersburg and Montgomery County pets.  Rabies vaccinations for cats and ferrets of Rockville residents and all out-of-county pets are $4 per animal.

City of Rockville pet licenses will also be available at each clinic.

All animals must be leashed or in carriers and controlled to receive service.

There is a 50% reduction on the above fees for senior citizens, handicapped, and those persons on public assistance.
