Refuse CollectionManual with 32-gal. cans and/or bags provided by resident, back/side door.

Automated with wheeled carts (4 sizes), curb/alley way only.

Townhomes, where carts cannot be utilized, will be exempted from cart use on a case-by-case basis.

Refuse Collection FrequencyTwice per week.Twice per week.Resident chooses once or twice per week.
Refuse OverflowUnlimited with regular refuse set out.Options:
1. All refuse in cart(s).
2. Additional carts provided with or without a charge.
3. Bags or tags provided with or without a charge.
RecyclingMultiple streams – Items prepared and separated by resident, once per week, curbside only.

Single stream recycling—Everything in wheeled carts (4 sizes), once per week, curbside only.

Broken glass and unflattened cardboard are accepted in the automated system.

Bulk Collection
(and items that will not fit in cart, including metal, whitegoods, and appliances)

Bulk – Unlimited with regular refuse set out.

Metal/Whitegoods – by appointment.

All pickups combined with the following options:
1. Once per quarter – scheduled by pickup area.
2. Monthly.
3. By appointment (with a limit per year).

No pickup of items too large for equipment. Automated equipment (knuckle boom) may permit pickup of larger items. 

Household Hazardous Waste and Oil, Tires, Car BatteriesBy appointment.Options:
Retain current service or rely on 7-day per week drop off at county Transfer Station.
Seasonal Leaf CollectionTwo fall and one spring leaf collection per area.Retain service and transition to automated vacuum collection method.
YardwasteOnce per week, curbside, unlimited.Retain once per week collection service and explore automation options.
RatesFlat rate per household per month.Options:
1. Flat rate per household per month.
2. Variable rate depending on cart size.
3. Charge per overflow.
