The Fiscal Year 2011 budget will go into effect on July 1, following approval at the May 24 Mayor and Council meeting.

The Mayor and Council made final changes to the city manager’s proposed FY11 budget, which was introduced on March. Those changes include increasing parking fines in Cityowned Town Center garages from $12 to $40 and charging patrons $1 per day on Saturdays to park in the garages.

The Mayor and Council voted to give a $100 tax credit for the fourth consecutive year to owner-occupied residential properties. more
  
Progress Continues on Adoption
of Master Plan Elements

The Planning Commission conducted its public hearing on the Municipal Growth and Water Resources Elements of the City’s Comprehensive Master Plan in June. The Mayor and Council will schedule an additional public hearing in September. more
The Mayor and Council held their third meeting in the community Monday, June 7, at Lincoln Park Community Center. Utility Rates to Change

In order to support Rockville’s 20-year, $76 million water system rehabilitation program, water rates will increase by 25 percent beginning July 1 for homeowners and businesses that receive their water from the City of Rockville.

Parking rates and hours in the three Town Square garages will change as of Thursday, July 1. more

Holiday Schedules
Rockville City Hall will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. more
