Stephen Cluskey Cromwell, M.D. (retired), a U.S. Naval Reserve veteran who served in five campaigns will be the featured speaker as Rockville honors United States veterans. more

Clarification of Last Month's Article about RedGate's Deficit
Our front-page story in the October 2010 edition of Rockville Reports ("City Reserve Funds to Pay RedGate's Deficit") neglected to report that the Mayor and Council's action to eliminate RedGate’s accumulated deficit and projected deficit for the current fiscal year relied in part on $1.6 million of operating surplus from the previous fiscal year, which did not reduce the City's General Fund reserves below the acceptable minimum level of 15
percent of General Fund revenue. more

City Facilities to Close for Holidays
Rockville City Hall will close for Veterans Day, Thursday, Nov. 11; and Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 26. more

Branding Comes to the City
The Mayor and Council are seeking community input on three logos and taglines to be used as part of the new community brand. A community brand is a collection of perceptions among residents, business owners and visitors. It is the way that people think and feel about the community as a whole. more
