Stakeholder Workshop

The workshop will engage participants in two types of activities: a mapping exercise to identify physical strengths and weaknesses of Rockville’s Pike area, and a critical questions exercise to further investigate ideas that surfaced at the Kick-off. The consultants will present a preliminary overview of their findings to start the workshop.

First Report to the Community:
Transportation and Place
The purpose of this meeting is to present draft development principles derived from the activities of the Stakeholder Workshop, as well as initial findings related to the topics of transportation and physical character. Participants will be encouraged to provide feedback.

March 18, 2008

Second Report to the Community:
Market Analysis
The purpose of this meeting is to present findings related to the market analysis for Rockville’s Pike and the surrounding region. Participants will be encouraged to provide feedback.

May 6, 2008

Rockville's Pike
Design Charrette
This week of intensive activity will engage the community in a series of meetings, open houses, and design workshops in order to explore alternative development scenarios for Rockville’s Pike.

May 31 - June 4, 2008

Third Report to the Community:
Charrette Results
The Third Report to the Community will serve as the final meeting for the Rockville’s Pike Design Charrette. It will be used to present the community’s preferred development scenario as identified during the Charrette.

June 3, 2008

Fourth Report to the Community:
The Draft Plan
At this meeting the consultant team will present the Draft Plan for Rockville’s Pike. Community members will be encouraged to provide comments on the plan.
