Rent Space at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center
Looking for a location to hold your child’s next birthday party, a meeting of your community group or a family reunion?
The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center’s brand new multi-purpose rooms can be configured to meet your needs and are available to rent hourly.
Overlooking the woods of Welsh Park and the outdoor pools, the rooms have a wall of windows and a new wood floor and are clean, bright and inviting. The rooms also have direct access to the outdoor pools and a modern kitchenette with a microwave, a refrigerator and sink.
The multi-purpose rooms can be combined into one 1,500 square foot room or divided by a movable wall into two separate rooms. The rooms are available for rent together or separately.

*A community organization is defined as having nonprofit status, a City of Rockville address and 60 percent of its members are City residents.
Rates above do not include a $100 refundable security deposit.
Birthday Party Rental Rates
$200 refundable security deposit due when the contract is signed.
$70/hr for City of Rockville residents (for Room A, B or Tent)
$80/hr for Nonresidents (for Room A, B or Tent)
The hourly fee includes the use of the Room/Tent, tables, chairs, and a party attendant for the duration of the rental.
The final cost is the admission of guests which is charged on the day of the rental (we do not take this payment in advance). We do not allow the purchase of 25 admission cards for admission of party guest/groups.
Scheduling:
Parties are booked year round (for outdoor rentals June-August)
Parties can be scheduled 7days/week but typically work best on weekends
No parties: Memorial Day weekend, the 1st weekend in June, 4th of July weekend and Labor Day weekend
Hours: Noon-8 p.m.
Birthday Party FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How far in advance can I book my party? Since we have a two week cancellation policy it’s recommended that you book more than two weeks before the rental date. If pool space allows, and staff can be secured, a rental can be booked with less than two weeks advance. However, you will not be able to cancel and receive a full refund.
Can I provide alcohol during my rental? No, alcohol is not permitted at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center.
How many guests can I invite to my party? The number of guests you choose to invite will greatly impact the cost of your party. Most parties don’t go over 40 guests but we have had larger groups come in.
Can I have a moon bounce or piñata? Unfortunately we cannot allow either of these for use during rentals.
Do I have to have a party attendant for my party? Yes, the party attendant is not optional. Additionally, the party attendant to swimmer ratio should be 1:10-12 (depending on age and skill level of the swimmers).
Can I have a DJ, clown, magician, puppet show (etc.)? Generally speaking, yes. However, there are many activities that take place at the facility on a given day. Management will reserve the right to turn down the volume if party activities are negatively affecting other facility programs.
If I need to cancel my party, will I get a full refund? All requests for cancellations must be made 2 weeks prior to the rental for a full refund.
If I’ve rented the tent and it’s raining outside will my party be moved inside? Will it be cancelled? An effort to accommodate your party will be made in the event of inclement weather. If it’s only raining (not a thunderstorm) the outdoor facility will remain open and the party tent will be used. If it’s raining too hard to remain open outside or if it’s not safe to remain on deck, Room A or B will be used for the rental (if they are not already in use). The indoor pools will be made available at the discretion of the Pool Supervisor on duty at the time of the party. We do not cancel parties due to rain.
Can I bring in food and decorations? Absolutely, with a few considerations! Please keep in mind that you are responsible for returning the rental space to its original condition (or you will forfeit your security deposit) so things like confetti aren’t the best idea. Please keep in mind that glass is not permitted in the facility. There are also several local pizza places that deliver to the pool regularly.
