Advanced Juniors (AJG) For swimmers ages 9-13 who have basic mastery of the four competitive strokes. The focus is on training for competition, goal setting, endurance, and dryland exercises geard toward injury prevention. Consistent atttendance and participation in USAS meets are required of all in this group. ENTRY IS BY COACHES' INVITATION ONLY. Practice Schedule: Monday - 6:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday & Friday - 5:00 to 6:30 pm Sunday - 6:00 to 8:00 am Monday Dryland practice - 5:30 to 6:00 pm Recommended Attendance: 3-4 practices per week. Additional dryland practices may be required
National Developmental Group (NDG) For swimmers ages 10-14 who have committed to upper level swimming in the RMSC program as their primary activity. Emphasis is on conditiioning, swimming technique and performance in meets. Swimmers must attend a minimum of 5 practices per week. Dryland training and participation in USAS meets are required of all in this group. ENTRY IS BY COACHES' INVITATION ONLY. Practice Schedule: Monday - 4:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday, Thursday - 5:00 to 6:30 pm Friday - 5:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday - 6:00 to 9:00 am Wednesday - 4:45 to 6:30 am Minimum Required Attendance: 5 practices per week. Additional dryland practices are required
Advanced Senior Group (ASG) Designed for the high school athletes who have a firm commitment to swimming and are looking for continued development in the sport. These swimmers train at a high level and are expected to participate in dryland training, and be at practice a minimum of five (5) times per week. Competition in USAS meets is required. ENTRY IS BY COACHES' INVITATION ONLY.
Practice Schedule: Monday through Friday - 3:30 to 5:00 pm Saturday - 6:00 to 9:30 am Monday & Wednesday - 4:45 to 6:30 am Minimum Required Attendance: 5 practices per week. Dryland practices are required until 5:45 pm
National Training Group (NTG)
For swimmers ages 13 and over by invitation only. The NTG program is designed specifically for athletes who have made a commitment to swimming as their primary activity. Athletes are expected to focus on qualifying for and competing in meets which lead to the National level. Swimmers will participate in water training and dryland activities as part of an overall program to ensure success. Each member of the the NTG program will be expected to attend a minimum of 6-7 practices per week. Practice Schedule: Monday - 4:00 to 6:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday - 4:30 - 7:15 pm Wednesday - 5:00 - 7:00 pm Saturday - 6:00 to 9:00 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 4:45 to 6:30 am Minimum practices required: 6-7 practices per week.
