Mini Team (MIN) For 8 & Unders who can swim both freestyle, using good rhythmic breathing and backstroke. Swimmers will learn proper stroke technique, including breaststroke and butterfly, flip turns, and starts from the blocks. Emphasis is on orientation to competitive swimming and participation in meets.
Practice Schedule: Monday & Wednesday - 5:00 to 6:00 pm Friday - 4:30 to 5:30 pm Recommended Attendance: 2-3 practices per week.
Juniors (JRS)
For swimmers ages 9-13 who have minimal skills in freestyle and backstroke to those who have achieved competency in the four competitive strokes. Emphasis is on competitive stroke mechanics, starts and turns at the lower level in this group, and on advanced stroke development and endurance training at the upper level. Competition is available on the average of once a month, and is highly encouraged to enrich developmental skills.
Practice Schedule: Monday, Wednesday - 6:00 to 7:00 pm Friday - 5:30 to 7:00 pm Sunday - 6:00 to 8:00 am Recommended Attendance: 3 practices per week.
Seniors (SRS)
Designed for swimmers ages 13-18 with a variety of commitments Most will have had summer swim team or high school competition in their background. This is a program with four (4) workouts per week - no mornings or weekends. It is geared for swimmers interested in improving skills and gaining a better training base, primarily for high school competition. Practice Schedule: Tuesday through Friday - 3:30 to 5:00 pm Recommended Attendance: 3 practices per week.
