The Thomas Farm Community Center invites you to visit us and enjoy community,
fitness and fun in our new facility. Featuring a full-size gymnasium, multi-purpose
room, outdoor patio, game room, fitness center, art gallery and lounge, the center
offers something for everyone.

Looking for after-care programs for your middle school student?
Check out the Teen Lounges at Twinbrook Community Center and at Lincoln Park Community Center. Teen Lounges offer after-school care by qualified and caring staff and feature great amenities such as computers with internet, video games, gymnasiums, field trips, homework help and special interest clubs such as fitness and cooking.
Art Exhibit: Nancy Heindl
Visit the art exhibit in the gallery through October 15. Nancy Heindl's work features plein air lanscapes, both in oils and pastels. She has won many first place, popular choice, and best-in-show awards, and the Grumbacher Award for best use of the oils medium.
Tiny Tots Drop-In
A great way to spend time with your children and friends every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon in the gymnasium. All you need to participate is a Thomas Farm Community Center Membership ($30 per year for City residents and $45 per year for non-residents).
Children under 5 are free. Children five and older and each adult must purchase his or her own membership or day pass. The pass cannot be shared with other individuals. All play equipment provided; athletic shoes required for children and adults.
Special Tiny Tots Activities "Last Tuesday of the Month"
In addition to open gym playtime, join us the last Tuesday of the month. We’ll have organized arts and crafts and games centered on a special theme. We will have so much fun—bring a friend and come on by. Requires a current membership or day pass for parent or chaperone and $2 per child.
Tiny Tot Halloween Celebration
A great way to spend time with your little one and friends. The gymnasium will transform into an indoor play space where children can crawl, run and explore. Come dressed in costume and take part in our parade. Enjoy crafts and refreshments. Requires a current membership or day pass for parent or chaperone and $2 per child.

Late Night Friday
Children have the community center all to themselves to play in the gym, enjoy video games and hang out with friends. Refreshments will be sold. Each evening will feature a special activity.

Indoor Triathlon
Waves of competitors strive for distance on a treadmill, elliptical and recumbent bicycle in Rockville's first indoor triathlon. Participants will be given a specific entry time. Sign up and receive a water bottle. Prizes will be awarded for different age groups with the most distance covered. Pre-registration is required.

Pumpkin Patch Exploration
MCPS is closed so we're heading to Butler's Orchard for a day of adventure and fun. Children will enjoy a morning of supervised activities at the center before going to the orchard to pick out pumpkins, ride in a hay wagon and enjoy their lunch from home in a picnic environment. We will return to the center to enjoy a few more supervised activities. Registration is required.

Halloween Haunt
Bring the whole family for an afternoon of Halloween fun. Come in costume and celebrate with DJ, games and crafts, moonbounce, pumpkin painting, a costume party and treats. $2 per person at the door; pre-registration not required.

Halloween Poster Contest

Open to artists in grades 3-12
Entry Deadline: Friday, October 25
Winners will be announced on Saturday, October 30 at the Halloween Haunt
Artists with haunting talent are invited to enter a Halloween poster contest. Entrants must print their name, address, phone number, age and grade on the back of their artwork. Posters should not exceed 22x24 inches or be excessively gruesome. Send entries to Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Drive Rockville, MD 20850, Attn: Halloween Poster Contest. Fall Fun Days
MCPS is closed, but no need to worry because Thomas Farm Community Center has two days of non-stop adventure planned. Children will enjoy two days of supervised, fun activities with their friends that include sports, crafts and lots more. Participants should bring a lunch and wear athletic shoes. A snack will be provided. Registration is required.

Gingerbread House Workshop
Test your architecture and creative skills and build a gingerbread house for the holidays. All the materials are included. Fee includes one house and all materials. An adult must accompany children. Pre-registration required.
