Artist Statement:

Gaea’s Corner is a colorful, tactile wall that evokes the feeling of nature already reflected in other materials used in the building. Using a variety of mosaic materials that look as though they could have been found in a creek or riverbed – everything from pebbles, broken tiles, shells, pottery shards, found objects and sea glass – the images of the creatures found in and along side this creek will emerge. The creatures will not be immediately visible; it will be a game of discovery to find them.

Budget: $15,000
