Just beyond the front walk of Glenview and to the right, is the Cottage. Dr. Lyon had it constructed in 1938 as a life-sized playhouse for his daughter Betsy. Behind the playhouse, Dr. Lyon established a bowling green that defines the southernmost extent of the formal gardens. The Cottage looks largely the same as it did when it was built despite numerous different uses over the intervening years.
