As part of the estate acquired by the City of Rockville in 1957,
the gardens have undergone only minor alterations including the
laying of inset flagstone and installation of subtle lighting for evening strolls. The spaces represent
various styles of exotic and traditional gardens and plants and
feature significant mature trees of numerous species.
