The staff would like to thank you for your interest in our rental facilities. The Civic Center is comprised of multiple facilities ideal for wedding receptions, performances and special events.

Glenview Mansion

Conference Information

Glenview Mansion is perfect for weddings and receptions, conferences, holiday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs and other special events throughout the year. The Mansion is surrounded by acres of manicured lawns, including a formal garden for ceremonies. The first floor is furnished with comfortable seating areas for guests. The second floor is home to the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery.

• Maximum capacity is 225 persons, including all catering staff, guests and event participants.
  
• Glenview Mansion cannot accommodate seated dining or any chairs and tables for seated dining. The seating consists of chairs and couches in different rooms of the house. Existing furniture may not be moved.
  
• Renters are required to obtain their own caterer, catering services and other auxiliary services such as florist, band, DJ and photographer.
  
• The kitchen is for heating and warming only.  Cooking is not allowed.
  
• Votive candles and one-piece hurricane lamps are permitted.  No other candles are allowed.
  
• No red-dyed beverages are allowed at this facility. This includes red wine, cranberry juice, grape juice and other beverages that have the potential to stain.
  
• All rental times include two hours set-up time and one hour clean-up time. Hourly rates are charged for additional time (based on availability) and fractions of hours are included and may be charged; extra time must be arranged for and paid for in advance.
  
• Tents are permitted in two areas only. Before contracting with Glenview, please ask regarding our specific tent policy. The staff will need to meet with you and your tent company representative.

Additional rules apply; please be sure to review all rental information when contracting a date.

The Cottage, a small house next to the formal gardens, is available for small meetings and gatherings.

F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre

The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre is used for large conferences, performances, lectures and awards ceremonies. The lobby provides a grand area for receptions, concessions or product displays.

F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre Social Hall

Beneath the Theatre is the Social Hall, a large multi-purpose room that can accommodate 225 people for a wide assortment of activities, including sit-down events. The Social Hall includes a heating and warming kitchen facility. The Social Hall is only available when the Theatre is vacant.

Resident/Non-Resident Determinations

A resident is any person living in or owning property located within the corporate limits of the City of Rockville. The city limits are determined by taxing areas. Rockville residents pay Rockville City taxes in addition to Montgomery County taxes. Apartment renters within the corporate limits of the City of Rockville are also considered residents. Proof of residency is required in the form of a City of Rockville water bill, a driver’s license, a lease, a mortgage statement or a rental agreement.

A non-resident is any person who does not reside within the corporate limits of the City of Rockville. Although a mailing address may be “Rockville,” this does not necessarily qualify as a City of Rockville residence.

Due to the nature of events held at the Civic Center Park, Glenview Mansion is not available for viewing on the weekends. It is to your advantage to schedule an appointment during administrative office hours if you plan to visit any of the facilities located in the Rockville Civic Center Park.
