Set in a beautiful park setting, the Rockville Senior Center is conveniently located between Route 355 and I-270. The Center can accommodate groups from 12 to 200 people.

Cancelation Policy
A 10% administrative fee will be charged for all cancelations more than 60 days before the event. If reservation is canceled 30-60 days before event, we retain 1/2 reservation deposit plus 10% administrative fee. If the reservation is canceled less than 30 days before event, we retain entire reservation deposit plus 10% administrative fee. In the case of inclement weather, we will attempt to reschedule to an alternative date with no penalty.

Rental Pricing Categories

Rental fees are based on your location of residence and the purpose of your activity.

Rockville Public: All organizations and ad-hoc bodies which are comprised of 60 percent or more Rockville residents with a primary purpose which is not private, promotional or commercial.

Rockville Private: Rockville citizens and private organizations primarily for self interest which are comprised of 60 percent or more Rockville residents. Private rates are available for weddings where the bride, groom, parents or grandparents of the bride or groom reside in Rockville. Businesses located in Rockville are considered Rockville private. This also includes non-Rockville not-for-profit organizations.

Other Groups: All public or private groups having less than 60 percent Rockville participation with a primary purpose of self-interest, promotional or profit; and groups using the facilities for conferences, seminars, shows or multiple room meetings.

Political Groups: National, state and local political parties are permitted to rent City facilities for any legal use such as fundraising events, political rallies, occasions to solicit membership and annual meetings.

Seating Style Definitions

Banquet: round 6 foot tables with 8-10 chairs per table or rectangular 8 foot tables with 8 chairs per table

Lecture: 6 or 8 foot table with chairs on one side

Theater: rows of chairs with center aisles

Rental Guidelines

  • The Contract Holder will be responsible for: damages to the property or building during use; rule violations or acts committed by members or guests while in the building or on the grounds; cleaning tables and depositing trash in containers provided; and returning the room(s) to original condition. If damage is incurred, there is excessive use of the facility, or additional cleaning is required, these costs will be deducted from your security deposit. If the security deposit does not cover the full costs, you will be billed for the remainder owed the City.

  • Caterer's equipment must be delivered on the day of the event and removed at the conclusion of the event. A copy of the caterer's license must be received three days before the event. No cooking is to take place - food is to be reheated only.

  • No pets are allowed in the building.

  • Smoking is not permitted in the building.

  • Rice, confetti and glitter are not permitted. Birdseed may be used outside the building only. A $30 clean-up fee will be charged if this policy is not followed.

  • All groups requiring specific set-ups must provide layout to the Center office 14 days prior to the event.

  • The sale of alcoholic beverages requires a special license from Montgomery County Department of Inspection and Licenses. The permit must be shown to the Center Supervisor the week prior to the event. Special permits are not required if alcoholic beverages are not sold. Alcoholic beverages may be served at social functions as long as no one younger than 21 is sold a ticket to the event and/or no one younger than 21 is permitted in the facility unless accompanied by a parent, responsible adult, or unless the person is a bonafide entertainer provided by the user group.
