Town Square Garages
State-of-the-art signs guide drivers to available parking spaces at each of the three new city-owned Town Square garages. Inside these garages, signs at each end of the lanes and lights above each space guide drivers quickly to open spaces. Garages have on-site personnel and security cameras.

Town Square Garage locations

Parking is free evenings after 7 p.m., weekends and City holidays. Payment of $1 per hour is required 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Other garages and lots not owned by the City have varying rates and hours. Town Square garages are open 24 hours a day.

One hour of free parking in designated spaces in the North Washington Street Garage will be available for grocery store patrons when the grocery store opens.

To use a pay station:

  1. Enter stall (space) number
  2. Choose “Purchase Ticket”
  3. Select “Hourly”
  4. Enter the number of hours you plan to park
  5. Pay by cash or credit card Visa/MasterCard)
  6. Take your receipt with you

To add time, at any pay station:

  1. Enter stall (space) number
  2. Select “Add More Time”
  3. Enter Add Time Number from receipt
  4. Enter number of hours of extra time you wish to park
  5. Pay by cash or credit card (Visa/MasterCard)
  6. Take your receipt with you

Parking in Rockville Town Center

Library Parking—at a garage pay station:

  1. Enter stall (space) number
  2. Choose “Purchase Ticket”
  3. Select “Library 15 min Free”
  4. Take receipt with you to the library
  5. Proceed to Library pay station
  6. Enter stall (space) number
  7. Choose “Purchase Ticket”
  8. Select option for free parking, up to 2 hours at a time, with a maximum of 4 hours per day
  9. Follow directions on the pay station
  10. Take your receipt with you

Parking Meters
Metered on-street parking is available throughout Town Center. The rate is 25 cents per 15 minutes. Meters accept quarters and prepaid parking cards, which may be purchased at the Cashier’s office on the third floor of Rockville City Hall at 111 Maryland Avenue. The Cashier is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Cards may be purchased in any denomination, and there is no additional fee above the amount of parking time purchased. Cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Monthly Parking in Rockville
Monthly parking in Rockville Town Center is convenient and affordable. Whether you are in the area for work or commute from the Rockville Metro Station, a monthly parking pass for Rockville’s 355 garage will save you money and time. 

Parking passes for the City’s 355 Garage P3-P5 levels are available for $65 per month and can be purchased from the Parking Enforcement Division at 240-314-8728 or parking@rockvillemd.gov.

Parking for Individuals with Disabilities in Rockville Town Center
Only vehicles displaying valid disability tags or placards may park at a space reserved for disabled parking. Parking spaces for disabled motorists are located in all City-owned parking lots and garages. Spaces are located near accessible sidewalks in lots and near elevators and accessible exits in garages.

On-street spaces for disabled parking are also available throughout Town Center. These locations include northbound Maryland Avenue at the intersection with East Montgomery Avenue, southbound Maryland Avenue next to the Rockville Library in Town Square, eastbound Courthouse Square and southbound Monroe Street, south of East Montgomery Avenue.

There is no charge for disabled parking in designated spaces in surface lots, garages or on-street locations. Per City ordinance, vehicles displaying valid disability tags or placards may also park at any metered space for free.

Contact the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to obtain valid disability parking tags and special parking placards.
