The center brings the community together to get fit, enjoy family-friendly fun, learn and relax.

Drop-in Gym
The center offers gym times for men’s, adult and family basketball; co-ed volleyball; open gym; and badminton. View the current gym schedule

Computer Lab
The lab includes nine computers with Internet access, word processing, games and printing capabilities. Users are asked to bring their own paper for printing and disks for saving. Paper and disks are also available for purchase. Computer Lab rules include a 30-minute time limit if others are waiting, and chatting, instant messaging or downloading is not allowed.

The computer lab is open during the following times:

  • All ages: Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 7 - 9:30 p.m.

  • Homework time for school age children and teens: Monday - Friday 3 - 7 p.m.

  • After School Program: Monday – Friday  3:30 - 4 p.m. and 5:30 - 6 p.m.


Fitness Room and Trainer
The fitness room houses a variety of cardio and strength training equipment to jumpstart your workout.

Learn how to use the fitness equipment with the certified trainer. Free group machine training is available (up to 3 members during the session) on Thursdays. One-on-one personal training sessions are available for an additional fee. By appointment only.

Family Entertainment
Ping-pong tables and board games are available for drop-in use during all center operating hours. There is a 30-minute time limit when others are waiting.

Rentals
The center offers room rentals for business and pleasure including birthday parties, showers, business meetings, luncheons or graduation parties. Click here [embed link to rental page] for more information about room rentals.

Senior Services
The City of Rockville Senior Center co-sponsors open volleyball, badminton, ping-pong and basketball for seniors at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center.

Public Safety and Community Services
A Rockville City Police officer is stationed at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center to provide police assistance for the Twinbrook area. The City of Rockville Police Community Services activities include personal safety and residential crime prevention information, home and business security surveys, and school visits.
