The City of Rockville is known for exceptional, personalized service delivery to residents and businesses.
One way that the Mayor and Council maintain this level of service is by being involved with the community and taking an active interest in the city’s residents and the places where they live. Rockville is a city of diverse communities and neighborhoods that ensures residents have access to information about city services and current issues. One of the many ways the Mayor and Council are in touch with the community is through neighborhood walking town meetings.
A walking town meeting offers a casual environment for an informal meeting between residents and city leadership and staff to address issues. By taking City Hall to the community, the Mayor and Council encourage all populations to feel empowered and connect with neighbors.
If you would like to have a walking town meeting in your community, please contact Hjarman Cordero, Senior Community Engagement Coordinator at hcordero@rockvillemd.gov or 240-314-8344.
