Eagle Scout Service Projects

Eagle Scout service projects benefit the city’s parks and open space. Most of the projects are aimed at improvements and/or new builds in the city’s parks, trials or open space. Projects include trial improvements, installation of park benches, or beautification of a park entrance sign.

Duties to be Expected

  • Planning, organizing and implementing a city approved improvement.
  • Working with the city’s staff with regards to the project timeline and procurement of supplies.
  • Provide leadership of fellow volunteers (i.e. fellow scouts, family, and other volunteers).


A Boy Scout must meet the Boy Scouts of America requirements to consider an Eagle Service Project.

Application Process

Those interested in completing an Eagle Scout Service Project must apply online.

A service project is usually 50-100 hours depending on the complexity of the project and number of volunteers assisting.
