Recreational Activities

  1. Closure advisory

In order to help slow the spread of COVID-19, city facilities remain closed to the public, and events, classes, programs, rentals and activities have been canceled.

The facility closure applies to community centers, Rockville Senior Center, Croydon Creek Nature Center, Glenview Mansion, and F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.

Rockville’s basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, the dog park at King Farm, and playgrounds, are open. Bathrooms remain closed.

Gatherings of more than 50 people are still prohibited, in an effort to reduce public contact and slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and applies to athletic, social, cultural and community gatherings.

Rockville has big-city offerings with friendly customer service to make you feel at home. You can join friends and neighbors on the field in our youth and adult sports leagues or learn a new skill in one of our specialty classes. With a consistent high ranking, our residents agree our recreation activities are the best value in the area.
