The City of Rockville provides water and sewer service to 70 percent of the city or about 12,000 accounts. All other Rockville residents and businesses are serviced through the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC).

Late payments will result in additional fees.
- Schedule a final reading of the meter at least five days in advance. Tenants or landlords will need to provide a copy of the Lease Agreement. Homeowners will need to provide a copy of the Closing Disclosure Statement.

Most Rockville water customers experienced an increase of 4.9% in their usage charges from FY 2019 to FY 2020. In addition to the usage charge, Rockville water customers pay a fixed ready-to-serve charge that is based on the size of the water meter and ranges from $13.13 to $1,510.33 per quarter.
Sewer Fund charges are based on water consumption. All customers that are serviced by the City pay $10.50 per 1,000 gallons of usage, an increase of 6.5% over FY 2019. Similar to water, sewer customers pay a fixed ready-to-serve charge that ranges from $15.25 to $1,753.37 per quarter.
