Most City of Rockville Facilities Closed July Fourth

Rockville, Maryland, June 18 – City Hall and the following city facilities will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day: 

  • Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers.
  • The Rockville Senior Center.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center.
  • Glenview Mansion, including the mansion’s art gallery.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and its box office.Theater tickets are always available at

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will close at 6 p.m. Find summer hours for individual swim center facilities at

After regular recycling, yard waste and refuse collection on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3, there will be no collection on July 4. Collections will be made one day later through Friday, July 6. For more information, visit or call 240-314-8568.

Parking at city-owned meters will be free.
