Recycling and Trash Collected a Day Later During the Holiday Week
Rockville, Maryland, May 26 — City Hall and some city facilities will be closed Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day.
Recycling and trash collection will be made one day later throughout the week. Learn more at www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-trash.
The following Rockville facilities will be closed May 30:
- Rockville Senior Center.
- Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers.
- Croydon Creek Nature Center and the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office, which are closed Mondays.
- Glenview Mansion and the Rockville Civic Center business office.
The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center’s indoor pool and fitness center will be open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Outdoor pools open at noon. Due to the city’s Memorial Day parade, access to the center’s parking lot on Monday, May 30 will be restricted until after noon. Hometown Holidays
The 78th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade begins at 9 a.m. Monday, May 30, capping a weekend of celebration.
Reunite with neighbors at Hometown Holidays: A Community Gathering from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 at RedGate Park, 14500 Avery Road.
The free festival features local flavor including two stages of entertainment by local acts, Taste of Rockville bites from local restaurants and activities for kids.
