  • Pavement Removal Rebate Program Overview & Requirements

    1. Rebate Overview

      Pavement removal rebates are offered to residential properties within the City of Rockville of $3 or $4 per square foot. To receive the $3 per square foot rebate, residents must replace the pavement with turf grass (sod only). To receive $4 per square foot the residents must replace the pavement with conservation landscaping (native plants). The pavement replaced must be a minimum of 100 square feet (need not be contiguous) with a maximum available rebate of $1,200.Soil improvement (details and instructions found in the Design Guidelines) must be completed for both types of projects. To participate, the projects must be installed at a private single family residence, homeowners association, condominium association, housing cooperative or other non-profit property located in the City of Rockville. Projects are not eligible if they are associated with permit approval requirements for new building construction, additions, or renovations. Projects that are partially or completely finished before approval will not qualify for rebates. All requirements as outlined below must be met. All decisions are final and are at the sole discretion of the City of Rockville.
