  1. Rockville Seniors, Inc. Monthly Meeting

    Rockville Seniors, Inc. (RSI) was created by the Mayor and Council to ensure that the quality of life of all Rockville senior citizens is improved through a properly supported senior center. RSI recruits volunteers to run the gift and thrift shop, book sales and bazaars, and weekly bingo, just to name a few of the current fundraisers. Proceeds from the fundraisers as well as donations to the corporation support the annual senior center budget, and center needs such as supplies, furniture and equipment.

    City representatives will be available to present fact sheets and talk about proposed changes to the following chapters of Rockville's code:

    • Chapter 5: Buildings and Building Regulations.
    • Chapter 21: Streets and Public Improvements.
    • Chapter 24: Water, Sewers, and Sewage Disposal.

    A public hearing will be held Monday, June 3 for stakeholders to testify on these chapter changes.

  5. Second-Day Stamp Issue Event to Celebrate Rockville Mural on Forever Stamp

    May 23, 2019, 11:00 AM @ Rockville City Police Department station

    Representatives from the U.S. Postal Service will join the Mayor and Council and Peerless Rockville in the lobby of the Rockville City Police Department station, at 2 W. Montgomery Ave., for a second-day stamp issue event.

    A reception will follow at the Red Brick Courthouse, 29 Courthouse Square. The mural of Sugarloaf Mountain in the police station’s lobby is part of the U.S. Postal Service’s 2019 Forever Stamp series.

Application for the parade will be accepted through April 5.
