  2. The Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents "The 6th Great Gilbert & Sullivan Sing-Out"

    5 performances, all different shows! Friday, August 31 at 7pm Saturday, September 1 at 9am, 1:30pm, 7pm Sunday, September 2 at 9:30am The Victorian Lyric Opera Company will kick off its 40th Anniversary by giving Gilbert & Sullivan fans the opportunity to experience and sing through the complete musical scores of all thirteen of the intact operettas. The Sing Out honors the immortal operettas that were created in a partnership of the superb librettist, Sir William S. Gilbert, and brilliant composer, Sir Arthur Sullivan, and VLOC’s tradition of bringing these evergreen productions alive for its audience. It also celebrates the great American traditions of community and musical theater by inviting members of civic theater companies from around the country to come together to display their musical talent and experience.
