Join the stream cleanup at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center and be a part of Montgomery County Community Service Day! City staff will be at the center to greet you and gloves and bags will be provided. Student Service Learning hours are available. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Got unused prescription or over the counter drugs taking up space in your drawers or cabinets? We'll take them back! The Rockville City Police Department's fall Drug Take-Back Day will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Rockville City Police Station parking lot at 2 West Montgomery Ave. To make it quick and convenient, officers will be outside with easy drive-up and drop-off access, so there is no need to leave your vehicle. This is a safe, free and anonymous way to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs. Illicit drugs, liquids, needles, sharps or syringes cannot be accepted, only pills or patches. The DEA will destroy medications.
Come in costume for Thomas Farm Community Center annual Halloween Haunt! Paint a pumpkin, play Halloween games, participate in crafts and jump with friends in a moon bounce. Children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants must register. Ages 2+
UPDATE: The watch party has been canceled, due to technical issues. Watch on the big screen as the Washington Nationals face the Houston Astros in Game 4 of the World Series. The City of Rockville will be closing off East Montgomery Avenue along Regal Row for this free outdoor watch party. First pitch is at 8:07 p.m. Bring chairs and blankets.
