  3. Green Your Backyard Information Session

    September 7, 2019, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Twinbrook Community Recreation Center

    If landscaping is on your to-do list this fall, the city is offering a free Green Your Backyard information session on ways to reduce runoff and replace weedy areas of your yard, from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway. Learn how to plant a wildlife habitat, switch to organic lawn care and receive rebates for rain barrels, native plants and trees, and permeable pavers through the RainScapes Rebates program. Residents are eligible to enter a free raffle for a rain barrel. Register with course #11207 at www.rockvillemd.gov/registration or email rainscapes@rockvillemd.gov with your name and address.   5. Doggie Dip Day

    September 7, 2019, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Rockville Swim and Fitness Center

    Dogs will be limited to the ramp area of the recreation pool and the baby pool. There will be no onsite vendors this year. Note: The event has been scaled back for 2019 due to our locker room renovation project and the extended use of the outdoor pool’s bathhouse for entry and access to the indoor pools. The event is rain or shine. Written proof of current rabies vaccination required for admission. Rabies tag not accepted.
